The Station Bar
Great News! We are one of the three finalists this year in the Scottish Thistle Awards 2014.
Owned by three generations of the Mc Hugh family, this award winning pub is steeped in history. For more than a hundred and sixty years, we’ve been the much loved local of everyone in the neighbourhood. From members of the three emergency services (off-duty of course) and shoppers to opera singers and orchestra members all help to make this bar a cosmopolitan mix.
We enjoy the patronage of local office workers, tourists, business people and many more. With the Passport office just around the corner we get a few folk in to pass time as they await their applications.
We also offer deserved sustenance to another group of youngsters, the famous world champion ‘Strathclyde Police Pipe Band’ who can trace their origins back to 1883.
Our location in the Glasgow Theatreland see us attract a varied crowd from such places as the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Theatre Royal, Pavillion Theatre and Cineworld Multiplex brings in an eclectic and friendly crowd.
We’re one of the best pubs in the city for real ales and beers, with a varied selection to choose from, including the award-winning Abbot Ale and Scotland’s Famous Belhaven Best. Why not visit us for lunch (Check our menu and opening times).
We were Awarded a ‘Silver Best Bar None’ Award** which is a fantastic accolade when your up against the big boys.
